Agrostis palustris
Creeping Bentgrass is a perennial cool season grass that forms a dense, fine textured mat. The grass spreads by profuse creeping stolons and has vigorous, shallow roots. It thrives in cool, humid areas and is most often used in lawns, pastures and sport fields in the Pacific Northwest. In warmer Southern climates, it is almost exclusively used on golf greens under intensive management practices. Penncross is a uniform 'all purpose' variety with superior turf quality, disease tolerance and wear tolerance.
