Gordon's Bladderpod is a Southwestern Native Flower. It is a low growing herb or forb, a member of the mustard family. It grows wild in upland Deserts, where it will carpet the ground with yellow flowers when there is moisture in the Spring. It is beautiful as an ornamental species on dry and gravelly slopes or in extensive range type plantings. Caution; do not put horses in pastures "yellow" with Gordon Bladderpod as consumption of it's flowers and seeds can cause swelling in the lower body and high temperatures.
