Product Description

Bromus marginatus

Bromar Mountain Brome is Native to the Intermountain West and Rocky Mountain region. It establishes rapidly and is a perennial cool season bunchgrass. It's best use is as a pioneer species in seeding mixtures to re-vegetate livestock and game ranges and to protect slopes, disturbed areas and after fires. Mountain Brome is short-lived but vigorous, and has great value for quick cover in any open slope or range area. Encouraging self-seeding by letting the plants flower in the Fall will improve stand longevity. It thrives especially in mixed stands with clovers and other legumes. Mountain Brome has high seedling vigor and Spring recovery for good early season growth and pasture.
